It’s Tough...

it’s tough, living with a progressive condition like MS... because on the one side, being a positive glass-half-full kinda girl, I tend to look on the bright side of life, focus on the things I CAN do, but then on the other side, I’m often forced to face the things I can’t do, like today: its a glorious sunny day, so naturally (after shuffling my way to the back door!) I’m sat outside on the veranda in the garden, which is lovely.. or would be, if it wasn’t such a humongous mess! Pre-MS days I would have been out here...

Can i be of any help?

Once I'd got over the whole 'whoah is me'  phase of my diagnosis, i found myself faced with the dilemma of what to do next: i am not physically suitable for so many jobs - the disabling fatigue that wipes me out after the lightests of activities puts paid to that notion - plus my brain now seems to refuse to function in any kind of organised fashion. I'm ready.

I've been struggling the last few months.. it's the whole MS thing. :/Since my relapse last September i've had a whole lotta relapsing and not much remitting, then after seeing my neurologist in May he confirmed what i was already thinking and re-diagnosed me as Secondary Progressive. It doesn't change much with regard to my symptoms, it just basically means i'll likely progress slowly with little or no relapses. On the plus side it means i wont have to go through the whole 'take-months-to-recover-then-feel-great-for-a-while-only-to-be-knocked-back-to-the-beginning-again' process. At first i was kinda relieved. Relieved that i wasn't going nuts, relieved that it wasn't something worst. I mean,...
